According to the classification adopted in our country, the oceans are divided into Atlantic, Indian, Pacific, Arctic. Since 2000, the Southern Ocean (or Antarctic Ocean) has been added.
- The Arctic Ocean (the smallest in area, slightly more than 13.1 million km2);
- The Southern Ocean (or Antarctic Ocean) is the fourth largest ocean in the Earth surrounding Antarctica.
- The Indian Ocean is the third largest ocean on Earth, covering about 20% of its water surface (the width of the Indian Ocean is approximately 10,000 km between the southern points of Australia and Africa, an area of 73,556,000 km², including the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf, volume - 292 131,000 km³.);
- The Atlantic Ocean is the second largest ocean after the Pacific Ocean. (Area 91.6 million km²);
- The Pacific Ocean in area is almost equal to the Atlantic and Indian Oceans combined (On old Russian maps, this ocean is called Great. Its area is 179.7 million km2).
My grandmother lives in a small village near Saratov. We like to go to visit her, because there is a small forest near my grandmother's house. There is very beautiful river where we can relax in summer or in winter. Last week my dad decided to visit my grandmother and to go ice fishing. We left early in the morning and expected to be in place in time for lunch. At first everything was fine. It was warm in the car, music sounded, my dad and I chatted about everything and nothing. Suddenly the car strangely "sneezed" and stopped. Dad got out of the car and opened the hood. It seemed that everything was fine, but the car wouldn't start. It got cool, I was a little cold. Dad became nervous. Unfortunately there was no car on the road: all people were sitting in their warm houses in Sunday morning. And suddenly we saw a huge lorry. Dad began to wave his arms and ask the driver to stop. Fortunately, the car was driven by a kind man. He took us in tow and dragged our car to my grandmother's village. Instead of fishing we spent the day repairing the car and we ran to the house only to warm up and have lunch. By the evening the car started up and we drove home. It was the worst trip!
