Yesenin was born in the village of Konstantinovo in the Kuzminsky volost of the Ryazan district of the Ryazan province, in a peasant family. Father - Alexander Nikitich Yesenin (1873-1931), mother - Tatiana Fyodorovna Titova (1875-1955). Sisters - Catherine (1905-1977), Alexandra (1911-1981).
