School Uniform.
There was always a question whether school uniform should be obligatory. Teachers were always strongly for it while the majority of pupils were against.
Nowadays each school decides for itself whether school uniform is required.
In Russia more than 50% of schools do not require any sort of uniform, therefore allowing pupils to wear their normal outfit. In comparison more than 80% of British schools have their own obligatory uniform. So,what are the advantages and disadvantages of it?
On one hand I think that it is important to wear uniform not just because it makes you feel more disciplined, but also because it looks good.School is a place where people work and learn, therefore everyone must look smart. Moreover, pupils will not be showing off with their own outfit(especially girls),will not put too much make-up and there will definitely be a feeling of community(which is really important). Also, there is always a distinctive sign on uniform ,so by wearing it pupils will be representing their school and this will make them responsible for their behaviour and of course proud of school.
However, there are some disadvantages. For instance price.Making school uniform compulsory ,pupils will have to pay for it. Not everyone is ready to spend a lot of money on uniform. Some might argue that it is unnecessary. The progress does not depend on clothes you wear.
Nevertheless if we have uniform I see it as:
skirts, white blouses and jackets for girls
trousers,white t-shirts,tie ,jacket for boys
Also there should be a PE kit.
Anyway,I think it is worth trying! Further in life we will have to wear some sort of uniform...and I think there is no harm in it.

The most popular hobby of the British is gardening. Most English people love gardens, their own above all, and this is probably one reason why so many people prefer to live in houses rather than flats. In the suburbs you can see row after row of ordinary small houses. And each house is surrounded by lots of flowers. Many people who have no gardens of their own have patches of land. They spend much leisure time working among their flowers, trees and vegetables. The British take part in numerous flower-shows and vegetable shows with very good prizes. Such shows are very popular in Britain. To many gardeners the process of growing the plants and taking care of them seems more important than the pleasure of looking at the flowers or the prospect of eating vegetables. In many places a competitive gardener’s desire is to grow the biggest cabbages or leeks or carrots. So this is the most favourite hobby of the British people.
