DancingLots of people love dancing. It’s not surprising because dancing is a way of expression. This body language is peculiar form of art. There are many dance contests nowadays where children and adults reveal their dancing abilities. I like watching such contests no matter what style of dance they present. The history of dances is rather long and interesting. People started to dance at prehistoric times. They danced during certain ceremonies, rituals and celebrations to praise their gods. There are numerous archeological proves for this fact. For example, ancient Egyptians depicted the figures of dancing people on tombs. These pictures survived to the present day, although they refer to 3000 BC. Native Americans were also fond of dancing. They simply couldn’t imagine their lives without dancing. They danced to welcome each season, to thank gods for harvest, to express joy and grief, to denote the start of fight or hunt, etc. Today dance also remains an important part of human culture. A lot of people are still fond of dancing. The good thing is that modern music has a great number of styles, so people can choose what they like. Most teenagers like dancing to disco music, others prefer rock and pop. People dance to express their emotions, to relieve stress, to keep fit and healthy, to feel the rhythm, and simply to have fun. Dance is like a non-verbal form of communication. Many couples celebrate their union by wedding dance, which is an unforgettable experience. My favourite dance style is break dancing. It’s a street dance that is a part of hip hop culture.

Dear friend,
Thanks for your letter, I was really glad to get it. Sorry for not answering earlier. I was busy for going on a christmas trip.
At these weekend I'm going to Great Britain. I hope it will be amazing! I'll travel to Britain by a plane. I want to visit Glasgow, Bristol and, of course, London. They're so interesting and wonderful cities! For example, in Glasgow there are so charming bridges and weather and in Bristol filmed the famous TV series "Skins". And of course, everyone know platform 9 3/4 on King's Cross station where people try to pass through the wall everyday.
So, what about your holidays? Where will you go? Who will be with you?
Anyway, I've got to go now. Drop me a line when you can.
Best wishes.
Anastasia.
Hi, John! -
Hello,Kevin! How are you doing? I haven't seen you for ages! -
I'm OK. And you?
- Me too! Nice weather, isn't it? -
Yes. We're going to have a picnic with Anna and her friend. Would you like to join us?
- With pleasure!
- so, I'm going to bring some bread and cheese. The girls are bringing vegetables and fruit.
- What should I bring? Maybe some beverages?
- Great idea! And some sausages would be nice!
- What are we going to do there?
- I think we can play badminton. By the way, have you got a racquet? Mine is broken.
- I'm not sure. Shall I take a ball instead?
- Ok. So, let's meet in an hour on the bus stop at Green Street.
-I must run then. See you. I'm sure it'll be a great picnic!
