In animals, birds, insects, the blood becomes cold, movements become dull, sleep overcomes the drowsiness. Frogs jump from the shore into the water, dive to the bottom, huddle deeper into the mud, into the mud. Snakes, lizards, hide under the roots, burrow into the warm moss.
Fish flock in pools, in deep underwater pits. Climbed into the cracks, bore holes, into the cracks of the walls, fence flies, mosquitoes, beetles.
The ants clogged up all the entrances and exits of their high habitation-anthill. Climbed into the very depths of it, they huddle there in heaps, push it, so it's warmer for them.
But butterflies that appear from pupae at the end of summer do not perish in autumn. When the evenings and nights become cold, seek shelter and hide in them. If the sun warms the day, they get out for a little while, and then their wings shine brightly against the background of the autumn landscape. But when the cold cloudy days come, the butterflies no longer get out of their hiding place and fall asleep until the spring. They climb into attics, burrow into the cracks under the roof.
Every day, every night, winged wanderers - migrating birds - set out on their way. They fly slowly, with long stops. It seems that they do not want to part with their homeland. All animals at this time of year becomes cold.
