Griboyedov was born in Moscow -born in a wealthy family. His ancestor , Ian Grzhibovskiy (Polish Jan Grzybowski), in the early XVII century moved from Poland to Russia . Griboyedov 's surname is not nothing but a kind of translation Grzhibovskiy names. Under Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich was bit clerk and one of the five drafters Code of 1649 , Fyodor Griboyedov Akimovich .The writer's father - retired Major seconds Sergei Griboyedov ( 1761-1814 ) .
