1) You had better write to her: she loves getting your letters. 2) She says she would rather do the work now than tomorrow. 3) Would you rather have the blue balloon than the green one? 4) Which of the two songs would I better sing? I’m in two minds. 5) We would better get up early tomorrow: we have a lot of things to do. 6) Would you rather go out tonight or stay at home and watch TV? 7) I think he had better not tell lies any more if he wants people to believe him. 8) He had better talk to someone who can help him. 9) I would better not waste more of your time. 10) We would rather fly than go by train: it will take us less time. </span>

Dear Sophie,
In just one week you will be here with me in Switzerland. I want you to meet my family and to show you my city. I hope you’ll like it. Basel is not as big as London, but everything here is very clean and it is very close to the mountains, which are beautiful. I am worry that you will find Basel a little boring. It isn't as exciting as London because the streets are very quiet after six p.m. People live in their flats so they don’t make much noise. There is a museum there but perhaps it isn’t very interesting to look at.
We finished school last week and I enjoy my vacations now. My family don’t speak English, so you will practice your German a lot. I would like to practice my English with you too.
See you next week! I’ll come to the airport to meet you.
Love( with love),
Liliane
